CADD Standards

General

This manual is intended as a visual reference to the settings managers used by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Design Division. For additional information on MoDOTs MicroStation configurations, please visit the MoDOT MicroStation drawing standards site.

This manual was constructed to support the MoDOT Project Development Manual, Section 4-03. The items listed are in settings manager order from Title Sheet to Cross-Section/ Preliminary Plan. It is intended to help all MicroStation CADD users identify and utilize the proper text and symbology, established by the department, while constructing plans for highway construction. Each item has a graphical representation and a description of its type, color, level, line weight, line style, and text height (if applicable). Text heights are dual dimensioned in mm and inches respectively, i.e. 2.5 (.10). These standards where developed to ensure uniformity of highway plans created by the department throughout the state of Missouri.
