2010-2014 Statewide Highway & Bridge Construction Schedule
JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the week of March 8 – 12, 2010. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays can be expected.

Route 65 over the Lake of the Ozarks, just north of Route 83 in Warsaw – Bridge deck replacement. The contractor has ceased work for the winter months and will resume work in early spring 2010. Completion of the project is scheduled for summer 2010.
Route 83 at the Big Pomme Bridge over the Truman Reservoir – Bridge deck replacement. The contractor has ceased work for the winter months and will resume work in early spring 2010. Completion of the project is scheduled for summer 2010.
Route 7 over the Osage Arm of the Truman Reservoir, located east of Route KK – Bridge deck repair resumes on Monday, March 8. Completion of the project is scheduled for summer 2010.
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 65, 1.75 miles south of Route HH to north of Route H in Lincoln – Grading and drainage work to widen the highway to five lanes continues. Lanes have been narrowed to 10 feet. One lane may be closed during the work and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled to be complete in fall 2010.
Route DD between Route FF and Maiden Road – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, March 8 through Friday, March 12. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Interstate 70 between mile marker 124 and mile marker 150 – Guard cable repairs in the westbound lanes will take place on Monday, March 8. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Interstate 70 between mile marker 124 and mile marker 150 – Guard cable repairs in the westbound lanes will take place on Monday, March 8. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Interstate 70 between mile marker 152 and mile marker 153 - Roadway maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place on Tuesday, March 9. One eastbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area. The speed limit will be reduced through the work area to 60 mph.
Route 54, at the junction of Business 54 in Fulton – Guardrail repairs in the westbound lanes will take place on Tuesday, March 9. One westbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area.

Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Mace Road near the Camden/Miller County line and the Grand Glaize Bridge in Osage Beach – Grading, paving and new bridge construction.
* Grading and bridge work continues in the Mace Road area.
* Eastbound traffic has been switched onto the existing westbound bridge on Route 54 between Route 42 and Bluff Road with two 10-foot lanes in each direction. This traffic configuration will remain in place through Memorial Day weekend 2010.
* Route 54 traffic has been shifted to a new bypass on the east end of the project near Mace Road to allow for new bridge construction. The bypass has a 30 MPH speed limit and will be in place through Memorial Day weekend 2010.
The entire project is scheduled to be complete by August 2010.
Route 54 between the Grand Glaize Bridge to west of Route KK in Osage Beach – Grading, drainage work, paving and bridges for the new Route 54 Expressway.
* Grading work continues from the Grand Glaize Bridge to Forrester Road.
* Grading continue from Nichols Road to Normandy Road.
No traffic delays are expected at this time. This portion of the project is scheduled for completion in spring 2011.
Route 5, one mile north of Route F to Route F in Sunrise Beach – Widening of lanes and new center turn lane continues. Driveway entrances will be replaced as weather allows. Minor traffic delays can be expected and crews will flag traffic through the work area. This project is scheduled to be complete in late spring 2010.
Route 5 from Old Route 5 to south of Route P in Laclede County – Grading for a shared four-lane highway.
* Excavation, erosion control and drainage work is near completion from Spencer Creek area to the south end of the project for the new Spencer Creek Road.
This portion of the project is expected to be complete by spring 2010. Traffic on Route 5 is not affected at this time.
Route 7 between Route 5 and the Benton County line – Roadway maintenance will take place on Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route U between Route 54 and the end of state maintenance – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, March 8. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route N between Route 54 and the end of state maintenance – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Tuesday, March 9. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route F between Route 5 and the end of state maintenance – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday, March 10. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Route 17 at Route 54 – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, March 8 through Thursday, March 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 50, Missouri Boulevard and Route 179 interchange improvements – Excavation, grading, paving, pipe and structure installation, and bridge construction. This project is part of realigning Missouri Boulevard at the U.S. Route 50 and Route 179 interchange in Jefferson City. Plans include constructing additional turn lanes at various locations within the interchange area.
* Lane reductions and temporary closures can be expected on Route 179 between Missouri Boulevard and Country Club Drive, including all ramps at Route 50/Route 179 interchange.
* Motorists should expect moderate delays and take alternate routes if possible.
This project is expected to be complete in fall 2010.

Interstate 70 at the Route 5 Overpass and
Interstate 70 at the Route 135 Overpass – Work underneath the overpasses will take place in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues through Friday, March 12. There is a 14-foot lane restriction in place during the work. One lane in each direction will be open to traffic through each work area.
Interstate 70 between mile marker 103 and mile marker 110– Guardrail repairs in the eastbound lanes will take place on Monday, March 8. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Interstate 70 between mile marker 87 and mile marker 100 – Guard cable repairs in the westbound lanes will take place on Tuesday, March 9. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Interstate 70 at the Missouri River Bridge – Bridge deck repair will take place on Friday, March 12. One lane will be closed during the work and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 41 at the Lamine River Bridge, one mile north of Interstate 70 – Bridge deck repair will take place Monday, March 8 through Friday, March 12. Lanes have been narrowed to 12 feet. One lane will be closed during the work and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route B, 3 miles north of Route U – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, March 8. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route C between Route B and the Maries County line – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Tuesday, March 9 through Thursday, March 11. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route CC, one half mile east of Route B – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, March 8. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Miller County
Route 54 from the Osage River Bridge in Lake Ozark to Mace Road near the Camden/Miller County line in Osage Beach – Grading and drainage work for the new Route 54 Expressway continues. No traffic delays are expected. This portion of the project is expected to be complete by spring 2010.
Route 17 at the Osage River Bridge – Bridge replacement continues. Bridge pier construction for the new bridge is underway. Traffic on the current bridge is not affected. This project is expected to be complete in fall 2010.

Daylight Hours
Route 50 east of Route E to Route K – Grading and paving work for new four-lane highway.
* Traffic on existing Route 50 west of California has been diverted to a new connection. The connection will remain in place until the project is complete. No traffic delays can be expected.
* The contractor has ceased work for the winter months and will resume work early spring 2010.
This project is scheduled to be complete in fall 2010.
