KANSAS CITY - The westbound I-70 ramp to northbound I-435 will close beginning 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, through June 27 for new ramp construction and realignment. Also closing will be the southbound I-435 ramp to westbound I-70, the eastbound I-70 ramp to Manchester Trafficway, and the Manchester ramp to westbound I-70. In preparation for these ramp closures, Manchester will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 12.
Motorists will detour west on I-70 to the Manchester Trafficway off ramp, then left under I-70 to the Manchester on ramp to eastbound I-70, then to the northbound I-435 ramp. Manchester Trafficway may be accessed from Route 40. Southbound I-435 traffic headed west on I-70 will exit at Route 40, then west on Route 40 to the westbound ramp onto I-70.
