Project Status: 17% complete - Effective Aug. 11 turn lane will be closed at Route 19/54 for approximatelyt 30 days to grade and pave for new turn lane. There is a 10 ft. width restriction through the area at Basinger Corner and paving operations will be in progress from Basinger Corner to Vandalia.

Project Status: 90% complete -
Eastbound dirt work, stripe removal and striping; opened new railroad overpass bridge east of Monroe City west to Route Z on Thursday, Aug. 7.
Rocket to Route U, dirt work, installing permanent signs, and striping, and pouring bridge curb and approach slabs, weather permitting. Expected to open to traffic August 12.

Route 36 - Progressive Contractors Job# J3P0409C & 410 - Grading and paving for new dual divided facility, minimal to no impact to traffic.
Location: From 0.6 mile west of Route 15 at Shelbina east to 0.4 mile west of Ralls County at Monroe City
Work Zone Info: Work off of traveled roadway, two-way traffic 60 mph, no restrictions or lane closures.
Project Status: Project Overal 20% complete - Weather permitting, all operations are active, except for grading operation will not be active this week. Crews will be installing rock lining in various locations and erosion control active near Hunnewell and at the east end of the job.
Box Culvert at Shelbina 95% complete - Crew finished the pour on the top slab and will start work on backfill as soon as concrete has cured. Effective July 14 approximately 1 mile east of junction 36 & 15 there will be Stop Lights directing traffic on to a temporary by-pass. The East & West bound lanes will be closed and traffic will have a temporary by-pass with 11 ft. restriction at the box at this location.
North Fork Salt River Bridge - 90% complete - Crew working on bridge approach on west side.
Estimated Completion: November 2009 completion

Route 36 - Bross Construction Job #J2P0482 - Grading, paving and concrete girder bridges for new dual divided facility.
Location: From east of Route 63 near Macon to west of Route 15 near Shelbina
Work Zone Info: Work off of traveled roadway, two-way traffic 60 mph, no restriction or lane closures at this time.
Project Status: 7% complete - Macon and Shelby Counties -
Contractor is continuing to install drainage structures at various locations throughout the project. They have started construction of the substructure of two bridges, Route 36 over the Middle Fork of Salt River as well as Route 36 over Route FF near South Shelby High School. Contractor has begun earthwork operations.
