Partnering for Innovative Efficiencies is one of many ways that MoDOT seeks input, from our partners, to improve transportation in Missouri. With limited resources, the intent of these meetings is to look for ideas that can help improve performance, reduce costs and satisfy more of our customers.
The May 2008 Partnering Meeting produced several ideas that capture the true spirit of collaboration. The topic, “Educating and Informing the Citizens of Missouri about the importance of Quality Transportation,” challenged the teams to identify critical messages that need to be communicated.
Read the current newsletter below to see the ideas generated and continue to check back to view the progress.
Eight critical messages were agreed upon. They are:
- Safety
- Economic Development
- Quality of Life
- Trust and Accountability
- Innovative and Environmentally Friendly
- Personal Investment
- MoDOT is MultiModal
- Funding Crisis Cliff
In addition to these critical messages, MoDOT is exploring a number of other ideas offered by our partners.
Other Ideas
The partners also recommended innovative possibilities about how to communicate the important messages, including: blogs, pod casts, e-mail updates, youtube, social marketing and local champions.
