Northbound I-55 in Cape County will be reduced nightly to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews mill and overlay the roadway with asphalt.

The first section of roadway is located between Route K to Route 61 which will take place Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 6p.m. to 4 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10.

The second section is located between US 61 and Route Y and will be performed Wednesday, Oct. 10 and Thursday, Oct. 11 from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. nightly.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
