Route 61 (Main St. Sikeston) in Scott County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews convert signals to flashing yellow lefts.

This section of roadway is located at Rt 61 and Tanner St. and also Rt. 61 and Lake St.

Weather permitting, work is planned to begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday night, Oct. 17 to 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
