Route 34 Bridge Replacements

What's the problem?

Bridges on Route 34 in Cape Girardeau County over Byrd Creek and the Whitewater River are old and narrow.

What's the solution? 

MoDOT plans to replace the bridges.

Where does it stand now? 

The projects are currently included in MoDOT's five-year construction program.

What happens next? 

The projects are anticipated to be awarded in 2009.
