MoDOT plans to resurface the route and shoulders.

Where does it stand now?

MoDOT received federal funds for improvements to Route 61 as part of a High Risk Rural Roads program.  MoDOT maintenance crews have begun making some shoulder improvements.

What happens next?

MoDOT will accept bids for a contract for the resurfacing later this year.
