Vernon County - Crews with Krupp Construction will close the Vernon County Route N bridge over Pleasant Creek for replacement beginning July 27 as part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Program. The bridge will reopen Sept. 1. 

Motorists need to plan alternate routes during this time.

Missouri has 10,249 bridges on the state highway system, the 7th largest total nationwide. The Safe & Sound Bridge Program will improve 802 of the state's most worn-out bridges.
