Project Updates (updated 04/09)
The following is an overview on the status of improvements as of April 9, 2018:  
 All design work has been completed
•Work is complete at 11 of the 31 locations including Route 100 at Route V/Route T
•High Friction Surface Treatment has been completed on 10 of 40 lane miles 
Flashing beacons have been installed at 10 of 17 locations
Intersection conflict warning systems have been installed at three of six locations
• Across the lane rumble strips have been installed at 19 of 23 locations 
• All LED stop signs on the project have been installed 
Groundbreaking Ceremony (updated 07/31)
MoDOT held a groundbreaking ceremony on July 27 to celebrate the start of the project. Click here to see photos from the event.  

Informational Public Meetings (updated 07/20)

MoDOT held two public meetings to discuss the safety improvements in Franklin and St. Charles Counties. Below is information presented at both meetings:

Project Contract Awarded (updated 05/04)

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission selected NB West Contracting Company as the apparent best value to design and build the $24 million project. NB West is partnered with Horner & Shifrin, Inc., Lochmueller Group and Engineering Design Source Inc. Click here to see the full press release on the announcement. 

Project Details

During the last 10 years, 8,752 Missouri motorists left on a trip and never made it to their destination.  This project uses public and private industry solutions to reduce crashes and save lives.

Franklin County Improvements

Improvements are located at 16 different locations across the county.

St. Charles County Improvements

Improvements are located at 15 different locations across the county.
