MoDOT Urges Motorists to Adjust Travel Times for I-44 at Antire Road Construction

ST LOUIS - The Missouri Department of Transportation, and its contractor, Millstone Bangert, have started the major impact of construction with one eastbound lane closed on Interstate 44 from Lewis Road to Route 141. One eastbound lane will be closed around the clock until mid-September as part of a pavement replacement project on I-44 at Antire Road.

Motorists will experience traffic delays on Interstate 44 with this one-lane closure during morning peak travel times, especially from 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. MoDOT has been evaluating the traffic delays and travel times during this morning's rush-hour to make any necessary adjustments. To avoid delays, motorists need to alter their travel times by leaving earlier for their daily commute. MoDOT urges motorists to use alternate routes if possible.

Plan ahead for ways to avoid work zones, call 1-888-ASK-MODOT or visit our website at www.modot.org/
