St. Louis County
**Interstate 55 at Union Road bridge- Starting March 15, 2010, Union Road will be closed from Spring Drive to the northbound I-55 on ramp for bridge construction. It is expected to reopen by the fall of 2010. Also starting March 15, northbound and southbound Interstate 55 (near Union Road bridge) will have daily left lane closures from 9 am to 3 pm in order to prepare for the removal of the bridge which is scheduled for the end of March.
*Route 30 (Gravois Road) at Route 21 (Tesson Ferry Road)- The contractor is proceeding with construction of the retaining wall and drainage structures on the southwest quadrant of Route 21 at Route 30. Motorists can expect right lane closures on Route 21 and Route 30 - Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This project consists of adding a dual westbound left turn lane on Route 30 (Gravois Road) to southbound Route 21 (Tesson Ferry Road), a dual northbound left turn lane on Route 21 (Tesson Ferry Road) to westbound Route 30 (Gravois Road) and adding a right turn lane from eastbound Route 30 (Gravois Road) to southbound Route 21 (Tesson Ferry Road).
Route 67 (Lindbergh Blvd.) & Route AC (New Halls Ferry Road) – The contractor will not be performing any work until weather conditions allow. The contractor will be performing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades, installing sidewalks, concrete approaches, curb ramps and pedestrian signal heads on Route 67 from North of Dorsett Road to Route 180 (St. Charles Rock Road) and from South of McDonnell Blvd. to I-270 and on Route AC from Dunn Road to Lindbergh Blvd. When weather conditions allow for work to be performed, hours will consist of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. This project is expected to be completed by the end of May 2010.
Route 340 (Olive Blvd) west of Creve Coeur Mill Road – Crews will continue utility work north of Olive. There will be no significant impacts to traffic.
Route 180 from I-170 to Lackland, Route D at Ashby – The contractor will not be performing any work until weather conditions allow for striping.
Lindbergh Boulevard (Route 67) between Manchester Rd. & Old St. Charles Rock Road –There will be no lane closures on Route 67 until weather improves to complete the remaining work for this project.
Route 21 (Tesson Ferry) at Meramec River – The current southbound lane of Route 21 has shifted to the left so the final stage of existing bridge deck can be reconstructed. Traffic is restricted to one lane traffic in each direction. This $1.96 million project will replace the bridge deck on the Route 21 (Tesson Ferry Road) bridge over the Meramec River at the St. Louis County/Jefferson County line. This project is expected to be completed in spring 2010.
*Interstate 44 at Lewis Rd – On Thursday, March 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., crews will close the right lane on westbound I-44 at Lewis Road for bridge repairs.

St. Louis City
**Interstate 64 ramps at Market Street and Chestnut/20th Street- From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 13, the westbound I-64 ramp to Market and the eastbound I-64 ramp to Chestnut/20th street will be closed for the St. Patrick’s Day parade.
*Interstate 70 at the Madison Avenue bridge- Crews will be working around the shoulders in both directions of Interstate 70 near the Madison Street overpass as they rebuild the bridge.
Broadway over Interstate 70 – Following the recent closure of this bridge due to safety concerns, deck repairs will be performed. The repairs will begin immediately in order to be able to reopen the bridge ASAP this spring.
Arsenal Street over Interstate 44- The Arsenal Street Bridge will be closed on February 25th to begin rehabilitation work. Removal of the existing deck has been scheduled for the weekend of February 27th and 28th. Lane closures on eastbound and westbound I-44 will be required for this work from Jamieson to Hampton. The bridge will be opened to traffic on May 21st.
Interstate 64 at 9th, 10th, and 11th Street Ramp. - Project includes bridge deck rehabilitation, resurfacing with superpave and painting from Tucker Street to the Poplar Street Bridge in St Louis City, the total length of the improvement being 0.746 mile. The westbound I-64 exit ramp to 9th Street will be closing at 9 a.m. starting Tuesday, February 23 until June 2010 for bridge rehabilitation. Westbound motorists will need to exit at Memorial Drive or at Market Street as alternatives.
Interstate 70 reversible lanes- On Interstate 70, starting on Wednesday, February 17 at 9 a.m. and lasting through April, the reversible lanes will be closed for demolition of the Cass Avenue bridge. This will allow crews to construct the middle portion of the Madison Street Bridge over the interstate as part of the new Mississippi River Bridge project.
Route H (Adelaide) from Hall Street to I-70 – Motorists can expect lane closures and permanent restrictions between fall 2009 and fall 2010. Motorists can expect occasional lane closures throughout February and permanent restrictions in March 2010. This work is part of a rehabilitation project on the Adelaide Bridge to remove and replace the bridge deck. This project is expected to be completed by August 1, 2010.
Memorial Drive (Interstate 70 Outer Road) – All work with the exception of striping is complete on Memorial Drive. There is still work to be completed on I-55/I-70. This includes inlet top replacement; sign truss painting, removal and replacement of tenon mount poles, REACT 350 installation, and some miscellaneous electrical work. This work is part of the Interstate 70 outer road at Memorial Drive resurfacing project, which is expected to be complete by June 2009. This project is an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act projects awarded by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for approximately $5 million dollars to St. Louis Bridge Construction Company. Work consists of bridge rehabilitation, improvements to the pavement, lighting, drainage, signals, signing, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades on the Interstate 70 outer road at Memorial Drive from the Interstate 44/55 interchange to Washington Avenue.
Various Bridge Overpasses over Interstate 55- The contractor, Concrete Strategies will have lane closures on the Gravois bridge over Interstate 55 on March 3. Crews will be closing the right lane of southbound and the right lane of northbound of the Gravois Bridge over I-55 at Geyer road. Crews will also close the westbound I-55 Gravois off ramp. The off ramp will detour at Jefferson right to Lafayette right. At the same time crews will be closing the two right lanes of west bound Gravois Bridge at Russell, and the two right lanes of east bound Russell on the Gravois Bridge. This work will also take place from March 3 through March 17 and crews will shift over to other lanes as work progresses.

St. Charles County
**Interstate 70 at Zumbehl Road- From Monday, March 15 through Wednesday, March 17, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the right lane will be closed on eastbound Interstate 70 at Zumbehl Road for bridge painting.
Route 364 between Jungermann Road and Central School Road - This is the second section of Phase 2 Route 364 and is an American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Project. This $44 million project consists of new concrete pavement from the Woodstone Underpass to just west of Central School Road and replaces the existing Route 94. New interchanges are planned for at Jungermann Road and Central School Road as well as an underpass at Woodstone. A one-way outer road system will be constructed for the length of the project. Utility relocation work is ongoing throughout the corridor. The contractor is performing drainage installation near 94 just east and west of Jungermann and along the north outer road west of Jungermann. Excavation and construction for the Woodstone Overpass is expected to begin soon. Traffic along the north outer road west of Jungermann will be reduced to one lane with flagger control for water line installation between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm.
Route 364 between Central School Road and Mid Rivers Mall Drive – This is the third section of Phase 2 Route 364 and is an American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Project. This $7.06 million project consists of constructing new one-way outer roadways between Kisker Road and Mid Rivers Mall Drive. This project was recently awarded to Dave Kolb Grading, Inc. of St. Charles County. Work is expected to begin in March 2010 and complete in early 2011.
Route 94 from Route J to Route 67 – Contractor will be performing shoulder work Monday-Friday from 7:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weather permitting.
Route 40 between Lake St. Louis Blvd and I-70 – Crews have opened the north outer road between Lake St. Louis and Dauphine Road. This $23 million project upgrades Route 40 between Lake St. Louis Boulevard and Interstate 70 to interstate standards. The overall project should be completed in spring 2010. Once upgrades are complete Rte. 40/61 will be designated as Interstate 64 from the city of St. Louis to I-70 in St. Charles County.
Route 364 between Jungs Station Road and Jungermann Road- The contractor is now focused on removing the old bypass pavement and continue grading operations for Route 364. In the meantime, traffic is still routed to the north and south outer roadways until Route 364 pavement is completed sometime in mid 2010. This is the first section of Phase 2 Route 364. This job includes grading, concrete pavement, drainage, and a steel girder bridge at Harvester Road.

Jefferson County
**Route 67 ramp at southbound Interstate 55- The southbound exit ramp to U.S. Route 67 from southbound Interstate 55 will be closed beginning Friday, March 12 to Monday, March 15, weather permitting. The closure will begin at 9 p.m. March 12. The ramp is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, March 15. Drivers wanting to access U.S. Route 67 southbound will be detoured to exit southbound I-55 at Route A, go eastbound and continue to the U.S. Route 61/67 connection to U.S. Route 67 southbound. Message boards will be in place to direct motorists to the detour. The closure is part of the Interstate 55 project to install equipment for the construction of a virtual weigh scale on U.S. Route 67 near I-55.
**Route WW – Contractor has closed the bridge over Maupin Creek on Route WW, approximately 3 miles south of Route Y near Grubville. The bridge is being removed to make way for a new bridge that will reopen to traffic approximately May 27, 2010.
**Routes 61/67, Z and 21 – Contractor is working on the shoulders while installing pullboxes and conduit.
**Route A between Route 21 and I-55 - Starting Monday, March 15, the contractor will begin placing traffic control for this project to construct turn lanes at multiple intersections and resurface the roadway. No other work is expected before March 17, 2010.
**Route M at Catlin- Contractor is working on the shoulders while installing changeable message boards.
**Interstate 55 between Route M and Route Z- Beginning Monday, March 15, work will begin to shift traffic partially onto the outside shoulders of northbound and southbound I-55 to allow for widening work to be completed in the center median. During this stage of construction two lanes will remain open in both directions of I-55. In addition, Route M will be restricted to one lane in each direction at the I-55/Route M interchange. All work will be completed weather permitting. This job consists of grading, pavement, construction of two bridges on I-55 from Route M to Route Z. This job is expected to be completed by Aug 2011.
*Route 141 at Mo State Road – Contractor is working on the shoulders while installing lighting poles.
Route 30 at Main Dr. – Contractor is working on the shoulders while installing pullboxes and conduit.
*Highway 110 at Fischer Branch (Outside of DeSoto)- On a two-lane undivided highway, one of the two lanes will be closed producing a one lane two-way operation at the bridge with flaggers on Monday, March 15 through Friday, March 19 between the hours of 7am and 3pm. Repairs will be made to the concrete bridge approaches. Upon completion of repairs, both lanes and both ends of the bridge will be repaired. All work is weather permitting.
*Interstate 55 at Route M- Crews have closed the southbound entrance ramp at Interstate 55 and Route M in Jefferson County. The ramp will remain closed for approximately one year while a new southbound on-ramp is constructed in its new location at the roundabout. Motorists accessing Interstate 55 southbound from Route M will be detoured to Route 61/67 to access Interstate 55 south at Route Z until the new ramp is completed. The contractor will have daytime off-peak lanes closures on the southbound off ramp of I-55 to Route M for roadway construction. The contractor has constructed a temporary by-pass for northbound and southbound Metropolitan Road for future construction of the roundabout. Southbound I-55 lanes (south of Route M) has been adjusted to 10½ foot lanes and shifted 2 feet to the left so the contractor can place barrier wall and start construction of new on ramp of the roundabout. The traffic lanes on Route 67 at Buck Creek have been reconfigured to 10½-foot lanes during construction of the Highway Patrol staging area to work in conjunction with the virtual weigh scale on the Route 67 southbound ramp. Drivers should heed message boards and signs for closure and detour information.
Route 30 between Route B and the Jefferson/Franklin County line- Work for this project is substantially complete. The contractor will return in the spring for some pavement corrections. The reconstruction project consists of repaving, adding paved shoulders and rumble strips. It also includes a left turn lane at Route Y.
Route 21 (Tesson Ferry) at Meramec River – The current southbound lane of Route 21 has shifted to the left so the final stage of existing bridge deck can be reconstructed. Traffic is restricted to one lane traffic in each direction. This $1.96 million project will replace the bridge deck on the Route 21 (Tesson Ferry Road) bridge over the Meramec River at the St. Louis County/Jefferson County line. This project is expected to be completed in spring 2010.
*Route MM between Route 21 and Geerdes Road- Excavation work continues in front of House Springs Intermediate School. New asphalt pavement work will begin on Route MM between the Ameren UE complex and House Springs Intermediate School. A complete closure of Route MM is scheduled for the weekend of March 26 thru March 28. These closures will take place between Scenic Forest Dr and Calico/Hidden Acres. More details regarding the closures will be coming soon. Flaggers may be in place for trucks entering and leaving the roadway. This job includes pavement, drainage, grading and box culvert extensions on two section of Route MM between Route 21 and Route 30 and is scheduled to be complete in fall of 2010.

Franklin County
Interstate 44 bridge over Winsel Creek- Crews will close one lane westbound at the Winsel Creek bridge (west of Sullivan) from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday for work on the shoulder of the bridge, weather permitting. Crews will begin milling operations between Dinky Rd. and Golden Arrow Rd. in order to construct the I-44 by-pass that will be used during the replacement of the westbound I-44 bridge at Winsel Creek. This project will also improve the I-44 eastbound bridge at Winsel Creek, but no bridge deck replacement work will be performed this week. These bridges are located between Stanton, MO and Sullivan, MO at approximately mile marker 228.
*Interstate 44 from east of the intersection of Route 100 to east of the intersection of Route OO near Pacific – The Prime Contractor, Fred Weber, Inc., has begun working on restriping and installing temporary barrier for pipe work in the median. Crews will be closing one of the two westbound lanes from 6:00am to 3:00 p.m. March 10-12, and one of the eastbound lanes on March 10 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. This project is funded using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) money. This project consists of grading, drainage improvements, pavement replacement and median closures on Interstate 44 between Pacific and the Route 100 (Washington) exit.
Route 50 (Union, MO)- The week of Jan. 25th, Millstone Bangert plans to continue working on the box culvert on the west end of the job. This is all weather permitting. There should be no impact to traffic during these operations due to work being performed outside the shoulder limits. This work is part of the Route 50 Widening project, which MoDOT will widen the existing two-lane Route 50 to five lanes from Route 47 South in Union to east of Denmark Road/Progress Parkway. MoDOT will add two additional lanes to the south and one additional lane to the north of the existing two-lane roadway. Motorists can expect various lane closures throughout this project. Two-way traffic will be maintained over the existing two-lane or widened pavement. Construction began in summer 2009 and is expected to be complete in October 2010. The Route 50 Widening project was awarded to Millstone Bangert, Inc., as a cost-share project with Franklin County and the City of Union for approximately $4.3 million.
Business Loop I-44/ Osage St in Pacific, MO- Crews are working in several locations on storm sewer installations. The center left turn lane on Osage is closed in various locations to shift traffic to two thru lanes. Expect some traffic congestion due to the left turn lane closure. Work also includes pouring concrete at the Viaduct St. intersection. Crews are also constructing concrete curb and gutter from Osage St. to Lamar St. Work is scheduled to be completed by May 20, 2011. Work is scheduled to be completed by May 20, 2011.
Bridge on Route 47 over the Missouri River – Work is complete except for the sealing of the bridge deck and placement of the final striping, these items will be done as temperatures allow in the spring. MoDOT and St. Louis Bridge Construction Company have been working together to reduce as much impact to motorists as possible. This work consists of bridge rehabilitation at the Franklin/Warren County line in the City of Washington, the total length of the improvement being 0.485 mile.
*Route 100 east of South Point Rd. to Route I-44 (Washington, MO) – Stage 2 construction at the Dubois Creek Bridge started this January and traffic has been moved to the newly completed North side, as work progresses on the south side. Excavation operations and roadway sub base installation continues throughout the project. Starting Monday, March 15th, the entrance to Burger King and Phillips 66, at Route 100 will be closed for two weeks in order to construct the roadway in this area as well as reconstruct the existing entrance. This project will widen Route 100 from the City of Washington going east to Route I-44. This work is part of the Route 100 widening project, which is part of a cost-share partnership between MoDOT and the city of Washington. The $21.1 million dollar project will add two additional lanes on Route 100 from Interstate 44 to Route 47. The widening project is expected to be complete in June 2010.
